Researchers have discovered that cordycepin and an extract from the Cordyceps militaris mushroom can make cancer cells more vulnerable to destruction by the immune system. The researchers found that these substances can alter the expression of specific molecules on the surface of cancer cells, making them easier targets for immune cells. Additionally, cordycepin can stimulate the production of certain immune cells, further boosting the body’s ability to fight cancer. This combined approach could lead to more effective cancer treatments by enhancing the body’s natural defenses.
