March 29, 2026
TAIPEI, TAIWAN– The Thailand Hub of Talent for Cancer Immunotherapy (TTCI) proudly participated in the prestigious World Immunotherapy Council Asia-Pacific Conference (WIC-APAC 2026), held in Taipei from March 28–29, 2026. Running in conjunction with the Taiwan Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (TSITC) Annual Meeting and the Taiwan Oncology Society (TOS) Spring Summit, the event brought together the region’s leading clinicians, scientists, and researchers to explore breakthrough advancements in immune-oncology.
As part of TTCI's ongoing mission to advance cancer immunotherapy research and foster the next generation of scientific leaders, our delegation achieved two major milestones during this premier regional conference: showcasing our exceptional young investigators and officially inviting the international community to next year’s conference in Thailand.
Highlighting TTCI’s Brilliant Young Investigators TTCI was well-represented in the highly competitive scientific program, where two of our promising researchers presented cutting-edge data to an international audience:
● Oral Presentation (OP-06): Suyanee Thongchot (Mahidol University) delivered a compelling oral presentation in the SITC-WIC Young Investigator Award (YIA) Session titled "Generation of Dual Bispecific Protein Engagers Targeting Mesothelin and NECTIN2 for Activation of Cytotoxic T-Lymphocytes Against Colorectal Cancer Cells."
● Poster Presentation (PP-04): Thanyavi Chinsuwan (Chulalongkorn University) showcased innovative work titled "Optimal delivery of piggyBac transposase for engineering chimeric antigen receptor T cells via in vitro transcribed mRNA" during the dedicated 11th-floor poster sessions.
Both investigators received valuable feedback from global immunotherapy mentors and sparked meaningful academic dialogue, underscoring the high caliber of research coming out of Thailand. View the full WIC-APAC 2026 Program Book
Putting Thailand on the Global Immuno-Oncology Map
Throughout the two-day event, TTCI actively engaged with attendees, international societies, and industrial partners at Booth B12. The booth served as a dynamic hub to display Thailand’s growing infrastructure, clinical trial capabilities, and collaborative networks in cancer research. As the conference drew to a close, TTCI extended a warm, official invitation to all participating societies—including partners from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India, Malaysia, and Vietnam—and global attendees to look ahead to the future.
