- The researchers identified neoantigens, which are unique markers found on cancer cells, from patient-derived CCA cells.
- They then loaded these neoantigens onto dendritic cells (DCs), which are a type of immune cell that can present antigens to T cells.
- The neoantigen-loaded DCs were able to stimulate T cells to attack and kill the CCA cells.
- This approach has the potential to improve treatment options for CCA, which currently has limited treatment options and a poor prognosis.
